Service Description

Breathwork is a great way to discover the truth and power you're holding in your body. Breathing is the most fundamental aspect of our existence. Our breath and our emotions cannot be separated. When we relax or tense up, the breath is immediately affected. If you've been containing your emotions (often out of necessity) breathwork will help them surface and release quickly without the interference of the mind, which complicates everything with fear and judgement. Embodying our emotions in a safe place is essential to our survival and vitality and is a primary part of healing because it connects us to the truth about what we've experienced, what we really want and need, and who we know ourselves to be at our core. In many cultures, breath is synonymous with spirit. I bring a trauma informed coaching mindset to all my conversations with clients about why they're seeking healing through integrated breathwork. Trauma can be any experience that the nervous system is still holding onto, which may or may not be apparent. Unlike psychotherapy, we stay in the present moment and explore desired future outcomes. During a breathwork session I guide your focus inward to your body and breath, segueing you into the specific Pranayama-style breathing meditation. Over the next 20-30 minutes, I help you stay in the breathwork, rather than your mind. I often use singing bowls and essential oils to enhance the sensory healing process.
